My Ramblings, otherwise referred to as News :)

21/12/06 - It's been an extremely busy time for me since I was lucky enough to land a job at the CA(we're on nick name terms now :). I haven't had an internet connection since i moved flat to be closer to the job and I don't think I've ever felt so cut off from the world, thats sad isn't it. But hey, no worries, I'm back in the 21st century thanks to the good people at Orange Broadband and I'll hopefully be able to keep this site up to date from now on!

Finally I'd like to wish all the poor souls who reach this site a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!! Lets hope its a good one!!

28/10/06 - Well after what I guess you could call and very 'long summer' of trying to get a job.......i finally got one!! The nice people of Creative Assembly (www.creative-assembly.co.uk) have given me a chance to prove myself in the games industry with a position as junior animator at their company. It came as a very nice suprise to even get an interview, let alone be offered a job!! I am very grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to be part of their team and extremely excited about starting. I begin my journey tomorrow(ohhh cheesy line) and lets hope it all goes smoothly :)

In the mean time, after my walk cycle post on cg char has kinda died now, I've updated the link in the animation section to the most recent version from the helpful critiques i did recieve for it.

09/10/06 - After posting my walk cycle on CG Char I recieved some helpful feedback from a few replies and I've made a few alterations from those suggesstions. I haven't changed the video file in the animation section from the original yet to see whether there are any more changes from this new version i need to make, also i left it there to compare as well. So you can access the new video by clicking the picture below for either the 3 angles or a close up on front and side:

06/10/06 - Been a while since my last update, and I apologise for that(boo me), but still plugging away searching for employment!! In the meantime I've added a brand spanking new animation :) I felt I really needed to replace the walk cycle that was in my Showreel and also practice closely on creating some nice fluid arc motions with a good old sense of weight. So I give to you my new walk cycle:

I've also posted it on CG Char just to get some feedback and see what improvements people think I could make, so if you wanna check out the post you can do so here.

Oh and the character rig used for this walk cycle is 'MAX' by Peter Starostin for 3dStudio Max 7 :)

14/08/06 - I've made a few changes to some of the files in various sections, while I've also now added all the animations in alternative wmv formats, which you can view right here

03/08/06 - Welcome all!!! Well I finally got this site up and running, after some great fun with Dreamweaver along the way. After graduating on the 22nd of July I've pretty much spent all my time working on this, so now it's time to find a job!! I'll post as much as I can in this section to keep everything up to date and hopefully add some new elements to both the artwork and animation sections, so come back soon to check out my progress. Browse away, hope you enjoy.

I recently went on a holiday to Orlando, Florida in the big US of A with my fiance Sam. We had a great time with Mickey and all his buddies at rival parks(yes i'm 21yrs old), even if the weather was a little crazier than i remember it being before, and i just wanted to share a couple of fav photos from the trip. Yes that is me and Frozone!!!!

Me and Frozone! Lots of Nemos!!! Dory!!! What you lookin'at!!

Me & Frozone, Lots of Nemos, Dory and what the hell are you lookin'at!!?

Oh and apologies if anything appears broken, this site it still in some form of construction. Please don't hesitate to contact me and let me know what's wrong, it will be much appreciated.
